Our newest location in Kirkwood (820 Lockett Rd) offers classes Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We teach in small groups,  maximum 4. These groups are great for developing ensemble skills, camaraderie and improvement of long-term motivation. We group the students according to age and experience level.  If your child has experience with a non-Childbloom teacher we will organize an assessment lesson to see where he or she can be placed in the curriculum.

”How much does it cost?”

There is a $35 enrollment fee (included in Starter Pack) per family into the program. The enrollment includes our step 1 materials and our national newsletter via email with practice tips for parents and monthly contests. Tuition is $85/month (1st month included in Starter Pack) for the group class. The lessons are scheduled on a yearly basis, with 42 lessons per year. You are only committed to one month at a time. We do need notice of withdrawal by the 15th of the month prior to the month of withdrawing, or the following month’s tuition is due. Our siblings rate is $75/month per sibling. So for a family with two kids in the program, the cost is $150 per month. Private lessons are $130/ month for all the teachers. Private lessons are only available to advanced students.

Getting the Right Instrument – What you should know.

It is so very important that your child have an appropriate guitar on which to learn. We now sell the Cordoba Protege and Ortega Guitars in all sizes!  Our starter package includes a guitar, case, registration, level 1 materials, and your first month’s tuition all for $250. We’ve been in this business for over 30 years and know that kids learn best on an instrument that fits them. Consult with us before you buy. Its a free service! We offer a rental program to help alleviate the cost of introduction and worry that ”my child may not stick with it.” Rental guitars are available for $10 a month with a $125 security check to cover the value of the guitar. The rental program is a 90 day program which will allow your child to experience and enjoy the Childbloom difference. This is NOT a rent to own program.

The highest cost of music education

We take music education seriously. Begun in 1980, the Austin Childbloom Program is one of the longest running guitar programs for children in the world.  That is why we know that parents must be involved in their child’s musical growth. We want a parent to be present in the lesson with the child. You need to know the details of what the child is learning; the goals for the week, the technical aspects that the child can’t see from his or her viewpoint and help encourage practice in an effective way.  The quality of that involvement will change as the child matures but parental involvement has been a key ingredient to the success of the students in our program from age 5 -18. This is the the highest cost – YOUR time and attention. It will provide the greatest value to your child. We are offering guitar lessons in person in St. Charles County and St. Louis County! Your child can now join in  the success of guitar lessons that over 17,000 children nation wide have experienced with our low starter package price of $250!
